I created these beautiful thick brass earrings with Black Tourmaline crystals that are high quality and ethically sourced from Brazil!

Black Tourmaline is also known as Schorl Tourmaline. The name is derived from a Sri Lankan regional term called ‘turmali’, which was a word used to refer to yellow zircon. This came about because of a mistake in labeling the consignment, and the name just stuck. Black Tourmaline is a pyroelectric stone, meaning that it produces electricity when it becomes heated. It’s also piezoelectric, which means that it’s also capable of storing electrical charge. Black Tourmaline can be found in many locations, including the United States, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Africa.
