📖Crystal properties📖: Strawberry Quartz is a silicate and has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. It is trigonal in its crystalline structure. The chemical composition of this stone is silicon dioxide with Hematite inclusions. Originally known as "scarlet quartz" and used in the late nineteenth century to describe fine-grained red hematite included quartz from the iron mines of Cumbria [Cumberland], England.
