Stromatolites are fossilized colonies formed by blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) and primeval microorganisms. Stromatolites date back over 3 billion years and are the oldest known fossils! Kambaba-Jasper is also known as Green Stromatolite Jasper, Crocodile Rock, and Crocodile Jasper. It’s a rare orbicular kind that comes straight from South Africa and Madagascar. Other notable locations of Kambaba-Jasper include India, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Brazil, and the USA.
