📖Crystal Properties 📖: Picasso Jasper is named after the cubist Picasso, it has a lot with all of its patterns and colors which is like a modern art paint slash against canvass on it. It is also known as Picasso Stone and Picasso Marble. Picasso Jasper is actually a metamorphic limestone, which is a calcium magnesium carbonate mineral and not a jasper  at all. The beautiful layers and colors of Picasso Jasper result from heat and pressure within the Earth. The patterns in this stone are formed by iron oxides. Picasso Jasper can be found as having black, tan brown, cream, grey, and red. The colors and patterns of this stone are related to the way the stone is created.
