📖Crystal properties📖: Amethyst is very common and affordable. Instead of letting mother earth do the work to heat amethyst to citrine, scientists do it. To create heat treated Citrine (also called burnt Amethyst), an Amethyst crystal is baked at temperatures of around 800-900 degrees Fahrenheit, this changes the color to deepening shades of orange, depending on how long it is "cooked" for.
